Testing is a crucial phase of
software development lifecycle, irrespective of the
development methodology followed, be it waterfall or Agile.
Testing efforts are steadily increasing: The Gartner Group
has estimated that “Companies spend upwards of 30% of their
annual IS budgets and 60% of their annual software
development budget on software testing.” It isn’t cost
effective to test, testing must be selectively planned. Risk
based testing, Orthogonal array and Security testing is
being used effectively by wider spectrum of SW development
practitioners.
The workshop presents an ‘in-depth’ and ‘hands-on’ coverage
of the above methodologies. The linkage between the
methodologies and the business impact of their outputs is
demonstrated using case studies. Hands-on sessions are
intertwined with concepts so that the participants gain the
knowledge for implementing them in their real world
scenarios.
